Pick Winning Numbers - Learn How to Pick Winning Numbers

,
How To Play Lottery Numbers :

When picking winning lottery numbers, many of us leave it down to luck. Luck is of course, extremely important when it comes to actually winning any prize on the lottery - without luck the chances of winning any prize is slim. Whilst there is very little we can do about improving ones luck - no scientific way anyway, we can still follow some guidelines to help us choose a set of numbers that have a fighting chance of winning a prize.

Try to think outside of the box when choosing your lottery numbers. Remember that people can be quite similar in many ways. Many of us, for example have lucky numbers - 3 and 7 for example is cited as many people's lucky digits so we are more likely to choose these on a play slip. They are also more likely to be chosen as our bonus ball or lucky star numbers (depending on which games you are playing). Therefore, it can be a good idea to choose something different, in case you do hit the jackpot, winning it with unusual numbers usually means fewer prizes being shared out and a larger jackpot in the end.

Remember to avoid choosing numbers that have been drawn recently - especially if they have won the jackpot. The chances of the same set of numbers winning the jackpot one time after another are minuscule - so don't waste your money! You can of course pick out some popular numbers or regularly picked ones - in the UK lottery for example, number 38 has been picked in the region of 107 times. But does this mean that it will be picked again? Not necessarily. Who is to say that number 38 hasn't run out all of its appearances for the next 10 years - there is no guarantee in a fair lottery draw that any number will be picked again.

Next, don't pick numbers in obvious sequences, like 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 or 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (although this is still a very popular combination!). The chances of them being drawn are very slim although many people still enjoy choosing this way. There is not reason why you shouldn't pick a sequence or a cluster of numbers however, that are concentrated on one area of the number board - it will be harder to hit but at least if you do win you are more likely to get the jackpot to yourself!

Remember to have a look at the board itself. Look at the shape of it - normally a rectangle or a square. Are there any patterns that are common or look interesting? Some people work to a pattern and pick numbers based by the corners of the board or choose a neat line horizontally or vertically. Avoid your gut instinct and go for something unusual. Completely stuck? Use a pen and paper and choose the numbers completely random with your eyes closed! You may or may not win but at least you will have fun picking!
